Ellis F. Minton CHURCH HILL- Ellis F. Minton, 67, passed away on Sunday (January 12, 2014) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following an extended illness as he was paralyzed since 1966. He was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. Mr. Minton loved watching football and westerns on TV. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Clay and Rose Bell Clay, brothers; Charlie, Harold, Dave, and Robert Glen Minton, and sister, Sarah Kate Simpson. He is survived by his sisters; Bobbie Jo Robbins of Rogersville, Eula Arnold and her husband, James, Linda Light, Donna Richmond, all of of Church Hill, Ruby Anderson and her husband, Danny of Smith’s Grove, KY, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 6 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home of Church Hill and anytime at the residence, 512 E. Main Blvd, Church Hill, TN. Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Home with Bro. Ed McLain and Bro. Jerry Anderson officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Everyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 A.M. to go in procession. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made through the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
