CHURCH HILL – Ruby E. Hutson, 84, formally of Surgoinsville took her heavenly flight Monday morning January 31, 2022 and stepped onto her sweet Beulah Land. She sung so often in her church, joining her family gone on before her.
Ruby was a lifelong resident of Hawkins and Sullivan County. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Smyrna Independent Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Hutson; son, Roger Hutson; parents, John and Opal Spitzer; brothers, Ralph and David Spitzer; sisters, Bobbie Manis and Arlene Skelton; one great granddaughter.
Emily is survived by her sons, Steven “Lynn”, David (Robin), Curtis “Dale” (Janice) of Church Hill, Charles (Deborah) and John (Brenda) of Rogersville, William “Tim” (Sharon) of Surgoinsville; she made her home with her daughter, Phyliss and grandsons Carter and Charlie Hunley; daughter-in-law, Sally Hutson of Elizabethton; 17 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at McPheeters Bend Cemetery with Bro. Brian Thurman officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:00 AM to go in procession.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
