Emmett Douglas Smith KINGSPORT- Emmett Douglass Smith, 72, passed away on Monday (February 10, 2014) at the Bristol Hospice House. He was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County and a member of Bloomingdale Baptist Church. Mr. Smith proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sondra Smith, , parents, Robert and Ruth Smith, and sister, Doris Simpson. He is survived by his son, David Smith and his wife, Robin, brother, Lawrence Smith and his wife, Hildegard, grandchildren, Garrett and Rachel Smith, special nephew, Steve Stidham, and niece, Julie Stover. Calling hours are from 10-11:00 A.M. Friday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Regina Shelton officiating. Graveside services will follow at East Lawn Cemetery Pallbearers will be family and friends.
