CHURCH HILL – Eulah Greer Charles Bowlin, 99, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 after a brief illness.
Eulah was born Feb. 6, 1919 in Surgoinsville, TN to the late Glenn & Minnie Greer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Church Hill where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years & sang in the Adult Choir. She loved her church & served it well. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. Eulah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, & great grandmother. She had many close friends & received great joy in loving & helping others.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands Paul Charles, father of her daughters, & Robert Fritz, brothers Everett Greer & J.S. Greer, & step children’s mother Sibyl Bowlin.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband Hiram “H” Bowlin of 39 years; daughters Betty (Grant) Wilder & Sandy (Chuck) Culbertson; step son Howard (Linda) Bowlin; step daughter Phyllis (Cleet) Murray; sister Audrey Kelly; special granddaughter Angie (Carter) Culbertson Long; great grandsons Owen & Parker Long; niece Charlotte Hedrick; nephews Johnny & Billy Greer along with several step grandchildren & step great grandchildren.
Visitation hours will be from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Church Hill. Funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 PM with Rev. Gary Gerhardt & Rev. Mitch Russell officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 27 at Highland Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 AM. Pallbearers will be family & friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Church Hill in memory of Eulah.
