CHURCH HILL- Evelyn Ruth Thompson Wade, 87, passed away at her residence on Monday (August 18, 2014). She was a member of Pink Hill Primitive Baptist Church and retired from Alladin Plastics. Evelyn enjoyed gardening and cooking and was loved by all who met her. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, very hard working homemaker, and made many sacrifices for her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wade, parents, Lonzia and Bertha Thompson, five sisters, and several brothers-in-law. She is survived by her children, Linda Wade Arrington and her husband, Harold of Church Hill, Joan Wade Moore and her husband, Garey of Clarksville, TN, Michael Samuel Wade and his wife, Debbie of Jonesboro, GA, Douglas Jackson Wade and his wife, Kasey of Healdsburg, CA, Brenda Yates Tomlinson and her husband, Jim of Ooltewah, TN, Troy (Buster) Wade and his wife, Rose of Cleveland, TX, 14 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grandchildren, sisters, Jeanette Ryans and Cathy Thomas, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 5 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home of Church Hill and anytime at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Elder Fred Gilreath, Rev. Jerry Scalf, and Rev. Steve Alley officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Everyone wishing to attend is asked to meet at thefuneral home by 10:15 A.M. to go in procession. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
