KINGSPORT – Freddie Carl Chatman, 69, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Freddie was born in Kingsport, TN where he became a lifelong resident. He is of the Baptist faith and a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church. He enjoyed going to tractor pulls and blacksmithing as a hobby for 35 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gomer & Margaret Sampson Chatman, sister Nancy Chatman, & niece Alloa Carol.
Freddie is survived by his wife Linda Jaynes Chatman, son Kevin Chatman, wife Donna, grandson Brady Chatman along with several extended family members.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Roy Graves officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 PM.
