CHURCH HILL – Geraldine Christian Day, 77, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at her residence following a brief illness.

Geraldine was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and retired from TRW. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Indian Ridge Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen M. Day; parents, Ivan and Fannie Christian; father and mother-in-law, Melvin and Goldie Day; son, James Day; granddaughter, Mandy Bailey; daughter-in-law, Sandra Day; brother, Ivan Christian Jr.; sister, Glenda Garland.

Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Amanda Carpenter (Roger) of Church Hill; sons, Jerry Day (Teresa) of Church Hill and Glen Day (Nikki) of Surgoinsville; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sisters, Elise Crawford (Jimmy) and Elmira Goad (Wayne); brother, Gus Christian (Sharron); several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Goshen Valley Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Grimes officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 PM. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
