Family histories are like quilts -- so many pieces, different colors and patterns, pieced together with careful stitches. Aunt Helen was a part of my family quilt, in too many ways to put into words. She was a part of my mother's life in Kingsport; Helen married my mother's little brother, Uncle John, and precious Martha Jon, their only daughter, was the southern cousin of my northern childhood. I mourn both Martha Jon and Helen and am grateful for their lives, and especially grateful just now for those who cared for Helen at Allandale. She was her happy cheerful self there, a sweet soul who will be missed on this sometimes too harsh earth.

Helen was such a Sweet and Loving Mother. I know that John and Martha Jon are rejoicing that she is finally home with them.
