Helen Lloyd Miller CHURCH HILL- Helen (Lloyd) Miller, 74, passed away Wednesday (January 8, 2014) at Indian Path Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and in her earlier years was employed by Kingsport Press in Kingsport. In her later years, she was a caregiver to the sick and elderly. Helen was a Christian of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Miller Jr., parents, Reese and Pearl Ford Lloyd; three sisters, Reba Lloyd, Frankie Lloyd, Ada Lloyd Bloomer and her husband, Bruce Bloomer, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Thelma Miller, two sisters, Jennie Lloyd Baker and her husband, Lionel (Buck) Baker, Nita Lloyd Dixon and her husband, Bob, brother, Tommy Lloyd and his wife, Rita, one niece, five nephews, special friends, Phyllis Marshall and Betty Huckaby, and a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 11 to 1:00 PM Friday at Johnson Funeral Home of Church Hill. Graveside service will be conducted following the visitation at Mt. Mitchell Cemetery with Rev. Frank Gilliam and Elder Fred Gilreath officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
