CHURCH HILL- Irene Lawson Price, 82, passed away on Sunday (October 26, 2014) at her residence. She was a member of Mt. Mitchell Primitive Baptist Church for many years. She was saved at Compromise Church in 1943. Mrs. Price loved sewing and cooking but most of all, she loved her grandchildren the most. She was preceded in death by her husband, Deadrick Price, parents, Joseph and Veloura Lawson , sister, Sarah Winstead, brother and sister in law, M.B. and Myrtle Lawson, brothers, J.C. Lawson, Charles T. Lawson and his wife, Ruth. Survivors include her sons, James Price and wife Kathy, Don Price, and H. Price, daughters, Mary Lane and husband, Leonard, and Judy Wells, brother, Bud Lawson, sisters, Dorothy Seals and Sally Herron, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are from 6 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home of Church Hill. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lowell Johnson officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Mt. Mitchell Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mt. Mitchell Primitive Baptist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association, 4825 Trousdale Dr., Ste 220, Nashville, TN 37220.
