CHURCH HILL – Ivanell Herron, 78, of Church Hill, went home to be with the Lord Thursday (July 28, 2016) at Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness.Ivanell was a lifelong resident of Church Hill and was a member of Old Union United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of the Bloomingdale Water Department with 32 years of service. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed being outside and working in her flowers.She is preceded in death by her husband, James Charlie Herron, Sr., her parents, Mack and Essie “Dave” Marshall Woods, two brothers, J. R. and Vernon Woods.She is survived by two sons, J. C. Herron, Jr. and Carolyn Sexton; Terry Herron and wife, Karen; two granddaughters, Mindy Hunley and husband, Jeff; Mallory Hall and husband, Stephen; three great grandchildren, Kody Hunley, Jackson Hall and Annabella Hall; brother and sister-in-law, J. W. and Frances Herron; Shirley Carpenter and husband, Gale and Sue Woods; several nieces and nephews and two special pets, Copper and Josie.Calling hours are from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday at Johnson-Arrowood funeral home.Services will be conducted Sunday at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
