SURGOINSVILLE – James E. Brewster, 74, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2018 at his residence.

James was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. He worked construction in Eastman for 33 years. He was of the Baptist faith. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, & friend to all that knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Bessie Brewster; sister, Estle Brewster; niece, Patsy Beasley.

James is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Imogene Brewster; children, Rebecca Copas (Jerry), James “Eddie” Brewster (Pam), & Kelly Davis (Eric); 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister, Ann Scott; brother, Richard Brewster; & 2 nephews.

Calling hours will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home or visit any time at Kelly’s residence. Funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Andy Sensabaugh officiating. The burial will follow to Armstrong Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family & friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
