James Earl (Jim) Mann MT. CARMEL- James Earl (Jim) Mann, 62, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at Holston Valley Medical Center. Mr. Mann was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church. He was a Boy Scout leader and an avid hunter and fisherman. Jim enjoyed maintaining the Appalachian Hiking Trail with the Eastman Hiking Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin Curtis Mann and Violet Blanch Mann. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Mann, son, James David Mann, daughter, Karen Lyon and her husband, Travis, brother, Don Mann and his wife, Connie, several aunts and an uncle. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 15, at Crossroads United Methodist Church at 6:30 P.M. with Pastor Randy Lantz officiating. It was Mr. Mann’s wish to be cremated. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crossroads United Methodist Church, 200 Bays Cove Trail Road, Kingsport, TN 37660.
