Surgoinsville, TNJames William Marcum, age 75, of Surgoinsville passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his family.Mr. Marcum was born in the Pressman's Home Community of Hawkins County, TN, was raised in Surgoinsville, and lived in the Washington D.C. area for several years before retiring and moving back to Surgoinsville, TN.He is survived by three daughters: Dana Mims of Fredericksburg, VA, Susan Marcum of Winston Salem, NC, and Amy Heiney and husband, Michael of Winston Salem, NC; sisters: Geneva Webster and husband Bobbie of Mooresburg, TN, Oma Johnson and husband Arthur of Surgoinsville, TN, and Mildred Harrell of Surgoinsville, TN; seven grandchildren: Kelly, Megan, Joseph, Samuel, Rachel, Matthew and Sarah, as well as several nieces and nephews and his beloved pet "Osteo".He was preceded in death by his parents Delbert Marcum and Cora (Wallen) Marcum and his sister, Hazel Cradic.Calling hours are from 1 to 2 pm Saturday at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held 2 pm Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev.
