ROGERSVILLE – Janice Lee Norton, 69, passed away on February 15, 2022, at Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport Tn.
Janice was born in Kingsport to Lawrence and Gladys Jones on June 22, 1952. She enjoyed working in her flowers, her animals and spending time with her grandchildren She was of the Baptist faith.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Norton, her parents, Lawrence and Gladys Jones, her sisters, Faye Gilley and Bobbie Bishop and her brothers, Charles, Dennis, Jimmy, Patrick, and David Jones.
Janice is survived by her children, Tammy (Robert) Adams, Susan (Teddy) Avery, Daniel (Brittney) Norton and Dustin (Cortney) Norton. She is also survived by her grandchildren Joshua Adams, Zachary and Jeremiah Ball, Daniel, Lauren, Alice, and Rowen Norton. Special family members Ed and Mary Norton, Carl Grigsby, John King and Sandy Bishop, as well as several others. And her forever faithful companion, June Bug.
A visitation will be held at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home of Church Hill, TN on February 20, 2022, from 4:00-6:00 pm with services to follow at 6:00 pm with Chris Ball speaking for the family. Burial service will be held on February 21 at 12:00 pm at The Norton Family Cemetery located at 485 Housewright Hollow Road, Surgoinsville Tn. A procession will leave the funeral home at 11:00 am for the cemetery for those that wish to follow. Family will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial donations may be made to St Jude’s, as Janice was a regular donor to their charity.
