CHURCH HILL – Janilla Lynn Lipe, 66, departed this life on Thursday, April 6, 2023.
Janilla was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. She was an avid supporter of the Hawkins County Humane Society. She was a caregiver in life and profession. She spent her life taking care of others and every animal she could find.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Ford; father, Claude Lyons; grandparents, Ernest and Dennie Ford; mother and father in laws, Jean and Roy Lipe; infant son, Derrick Glen Lipe; sister in laws, Marcheta Ford and Thelma Dulaney.
Janilla is survived by her husband, Darrel Lipe; sons, Jeremy Ford and Chris Ford; daughter, Tosha “Toshie” Leeper; brother, Richard Ford (Kathy Lighter); sister, Linda Kincaid; two special nephews, Mason Ringley and Travis Kincaid; beloved nieces, Claire Lipe (Marc) and Abbey Sheehy (Michael); brother in law, Keith Lipe (Robin); sister in law, Annette Ramey (Anthony); furry children, Oscar, Blossom, and Fefe; several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 6:40 PM on Wednesday, April, 12, 2023 at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 6:40 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Pam Hoard officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hawkins County Humane Society in Janilla’s memory.
