JIMMYE (JR) ROGERSCHURCH HILL – Jimmye Ruth Rogers, 70, of Church Hill, passed away Monday (January 4, 2016) at Holston Valley Medical Center following an extended illness.Jimmye was a native of Morristown and resided most of her adult life in Church Hill after growing up on Fort Robinson Drive in Kingsport. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a graduate of Lynn View High School and attended ETSU. She graduated from Kingsport Beauty School and worked many years as a hair dresser. She retired from Danny Herman Trucking, where she enjoyed driving for the last years of her life.She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ruth Miller Bowers.She is survived by her husband, Mike Rogers, sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Karen Redman, Barry and Christine Redman; step son, Michael Rogers and wife, Victoria; grandson, Ryan Redman; several aunts and uncles.Calling hours are from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home and anytime at the residence.Services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel, Rev.
