KINGSPORT- Marcia Jane Bartholomew, 73, passed away on Wednesday (June 18, 2014) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Bartholomew loved gardening and spending time with her grandkids. In her younger days, she enjoyed hiking and photography. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Bartholomew, parents, Orie and Bertha Jane Slemp, sister, Bleeka Sproles, brothers, Ivan, Don,and Virgil Slemp. She is survived by her son, Roger J. Rasnic of Duffield, VA, daughter, Janet R. Slater of Catawba, NC, brother, Hop Slemp, sister, Merle Edwards, grandchildren, Tasha Britt and her husband, Chris, Jacob Slater and his wife, Leslie, Travis, Shawn, and Joshua Rasnic, one great granddaughter, Kialee Britt, several nieces, nephews, and special niece, Diane Early, and many special friends. Memorial Services will be held 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 21, 2014at Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home of Church Hill.
