CHURCH HILL – Margaret Elsia (Taylor) Hilliard, 89, passed away on June 13, 2018 at Holston Valley Medical Center.

She was a lifelong resident of Church Hill. Margaret was a member of First United Methodist Church of Church Hill. She was an avid UT fan & never missed a Lady Vols basketball home game.

She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Charles Hilliard; son George Timothy Hilliard; sisters Rosa Lee Taylor, Josephine Christian, & Agnus Taylor; brothers S.L., James T., & John E. Taylor.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Teresa “Terry” Johnson (Larry); Thomas C. “Buddy” Hilliard (Janeta); grandchildren Candy Campbell (Dale), Tommy Dalley, & Amy Sizemore; great grandchildren Hayden & Dylan Campbell; special niece Barbara Tunnell; special cousin Juanita Lane; along with several other nieces & nephews.

Visitation hours will be from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Josh Kilbourne & Rev. Victor Wallace officiating. The graveside service will follow at Cooper Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the S.L. Taylor Scholarship Fund, Cooper Cemetery Fund, or to First United Methodist Church of Church Hill Building Fund.
