CHURCH HILL – Marjorie Brown (Yates) Lumpkins, 88, went to be with the Lord on May 2, 2020.
She was born in Manchester, TN on April 16, 1932 and has lived the past 58 years in Church Hill, TN. Marjorie was a member of First United Methodist Church of Church Hill for 56 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and mother-in-law and the joy of her life was her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Claude Lumpkins; parents, John Comer Yates and Hester Elizabeth Brown Yates; son, William Howard Lumpkins; brothers, Freeman Yates, Johnnie Yates, J.P. Yates, General Lee Yates, Rufus Yates, and Hughie Yates; sisters, Ruby Wilson, Robbie McBride, Zada Corn, Elizabeth Taylor, and Bonnie Pearl Griswold.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Eddy Lumpkins (Patricia), Tim Lumpkins (Shelia), Bonnie Christian (Alan), and Randy Lumpkins (Kris); grandchildren, Todd Lumpkins (Liz), Christie Lumpkins Gott (Martin), Andrew Christian (Meagan), Rachel Lumpkins Davidson (Josh), Wade Lumpkins (Kayla), and Chad Lumpkins; great grandchildren, Presli Gott, Macy Lumpkins, Laci Gott, Madison Christian, Lizzie Davidson, Aubrey Davidson, and Asa Grant Lumpkins; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 4, 2020 at Church Hill Memory Gardens with Rev. Bob Ruth officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 PM.
Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.
