Church Hill, TNMary Chapman Dykes, age 84, of Church Hill passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Life Care Center of Gray following an extended illness.Mrs. Dykes had lived the majority of her life in Hawkins County and was a member of the Christians Bend Free Will Baptist Church. She was retired from Grosset & Dunlap Publishings.She is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne W. Dykes in 2005 and a daughter, Susan Kay Dykes in 2000. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Boyd & Almeda Chapman.Survivors include her daughters and son-in-laws; Janet & Gordon Lenham of Mount Carmel and Alice & Marty Browder of Kingsport; Grandchildren, Charles Winfield Browder, Jack Thomas Browder, Susannah Grace Browder and Samuel Martin Browder all of Kingsport; Sister, Patricia Chapman of Kingsport; Nephew, David Nelms and special friend, Phil Gaddis.Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pmMonday at the Church Hill Memory Gardens with Pastor Mickey Rainwater officiating. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 pm Monday.
