CHURCH HILL – Mary Frances Skelton, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Frances was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Vision Baptist Church. She always enjoyed singing with the Senior Center and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Alvin Skelton; parents, W.M. and Helen Brown Davis; and brother, William McGhee Davis.
Frances is survived by her son, Mark Skelton (Vickie); granddaughters, Emily Skelton and Rachel Jones; sisters, Jo Ann Skelton (Carl) and Janie Long; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a multitude of dear friends who loved her.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor James Adams and Rev. Greg Fletcher officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 3 at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 AM to go in procession.
Pallbearers will be Stacy Long, Robert Littleton, Mike Littleton, Isaac Evans, Jackson Moncier, and Connor Crum.
