SURGOINSVILLE – Mollie Gilreath, 89, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mollie was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Mt. Mitchell Primitive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Gilreath; mother, Nellie Phillips Cloud; parents, Rebecca Jane and Charlie Arnold.
Mollie is survived by her sister-in-law, Hazel Crawford; brother-in-law, J.D. Gilreath; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends and her pet companion Boo Boo.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home or anytime Pam’s Residence. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Frank Gilliam and Rev. Harmon Willis officiating. Music will be provided by Liberty Quartet. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, November 10 at Mt. Mitchell Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 PM to go in procession.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne Williams, Howard Gilreath, Tim Crawford, David Crawford, Robert Ledbetter, Jim Gilreath, Rick Gilreath, and Jack Christian. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Dixon, Dillard Morelock, Pat Link, and Charles Crawford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Mitchell Primitive Baptist Church in care of Juanita Williams, P.O. Box 10 131 East Main Blvd. Church Hill, TN 37642 in Mollie’s memory.
