CHURCH HILL – Mr. Ronald G. Inscore, 73, went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at LeConte Medical Center.
He was a member of Morrison Chapel Methodist Church. Ronald was a proud Vietnam Veteran where he served in the 173rd Airborne Brigade. He also served for many years as Chairman of the local Ross Carter Chapter of the 82nd Airborne Association.
He was an integral part of the ongoing legacy of the Carter’s Valley Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as Fire Chief and a board member for many years.
He was a truck driver by profession, having logged over 2 million safe driving miles while driving for Air Products, Air Gas, and Martin Trucking.
He loved traveling, seeing many new places over the past few years. Especially camping with his wife and family. He enjoyed a majority of time spent in the Tennessee Mountains, as well as California.
Ronald was preceded in death by his daughter, Becky Falin; parents, Albert and Tilda Inscore; siblings, Glen Inscore, Helen Miser, Dinah McGee, Linda Inscore, and Jerry Inscore.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carol (Ketron) Inscore; daughters, Julie Phillips (Marty), and Brooke Inscore-Raster (Van); son-in-law, Michael Falin; granddaughters, Maccie Hilliard (Tyler), Carly Phillips, Rachel Phillips, Kendall Phillips, and Tatianna Raster; grandsons, Mikey Falin (Victoria), Matt Raster (Faith), and Landon Raster; brother, Jimmy Inscore; sister, Sarah Inscore; as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Nathan Ware officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 22, 2023, at Mountain Home National Cemetery in Johnson City, TN. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 PM. Those wishing to follow the processional are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:45 PM.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Hilliard, Mikey Falin, Andrew Ketron, Alex Ketron, Sharon Wright, Angie King, Chad McGee, and Christi Ann Massaro.
