MT. CARMEL – Patsy J. Simpson, 77, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Patsy was born in Kingsport on April 20, 1941. She had been a resident of Mt. Carmel since 1989. She was of the Baptist faith & was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Michael Simpson; parents, Leslie Eugene & Eula Holt Orrick; brothers, James Orrick & Leslie Orrick; sister, Sharon Boling.
Patsy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Clifford “Cliff” Simpson; daughter, Karen Cooper (Martin); grandchildren, Zachary Cooper, Isaac Cooper, Cole Cooper, & Claire Simpson; & brother, Bill Orrick (Billie).
A visitation will be held from 12:00 – 1:30 PM on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ed McLain officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
