CHURCH HILL – Pauline A. Grandy, 83, passed away Wednesday (September 2, 2015) at her home following an extended illness.Mrs. Grandy was a lifelong resident of Church Hill and attended Cornerstone Fellowship Church. Mrs. Grandy loved quilting and making crafts but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her husband, William C. Grandy, Sr. in 2011, two sisters, Annie Christian, Ruby Matthews, three brothers, Roy Adams, Fred Adams and Gordon Adams.She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, William C. and Linda Grandy, Jr., Robert D. and Tammy Grandy, Forrest Wade Grandy, all of Mount Carmel and Joey Lee and Becky Grandy, Church Hill; three grandchildren, Hannah Grandy, Cody Grandy and Lauren Grandy; step granddaughter, Rachel Blair and husband, Taylor; two great grandchildren, Silas and Phea; several nieces and nephews; special niece, Norma Alley and many special friends including JoAnn Hensley, Annabelle Taylor and Sandra Castle.The family would like to thank Mountain State Home Health and Welmont Hospice and her doctors and nurses for the wonderful care shown to Pauline.Calling hours are from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home.Services will be conducted Thursday at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ron Gordon and the Rev. Jerry Anderson officiating.Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 AM at Morning Star Cemetery.
