ROGERSVILLE – Philip Eugene Sanders, 81, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 at his residence.
Gene was born in Dayton Beach, FL and moved to Rogersville in 1997. He was a member of Elm Springs United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, watching football, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Kemp & Grace Folsom Sanders.
Gene is survived by his wife, Peggy Ann Sanders; daughters, Cheryl Walter (Randy) & Sheila Finn; grandchildren, Maggie Sterba (Robert), Heather Walter, Chris Finn (Rian), Katie Bates (John), & Kelsey Finn (Billy); 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Claudia Hammock & Margie Braxton; several nieces, nephews, & extended family.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday, November 19, 2018 at Elm Springs United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 PM with Pastor Mike Webb officiating.
