Reading of Reta's passing broke my heart. She was a lovely person with a loving heart and a wonderful sense of humor. We were good friends when we were young and had many good times. My deepest condolences to Ruth and the rest of the family. Bobby Dean

Rita, Kathy Alley, Jean Bishop and l were always the first four seated alphabetically. We were always in friendly competition. I remember Rita’s calmness in every situation and her warm smile. She helped make my high school years so memorable! My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. May fond memories help ease the pain. Louella (Adams) Blair

Reta was such an amazing person. She was an amazing wife to my father and she was an amazing Stepmother. Her presence always brought a calming and her smile was beautiful. She was always there when you needed her. She will truly be missed. God has called home one of his angels, no more suffering, she is walking the streets of gold and I know she is happy. Prayers to Holly, Jason and the boys. I love you Mom!

So very sorry for your loss. Reta was such a beautiful lady and pa and i had so much fun with her and Jerry on our outings together!! Reta always talked about those precious boys and she would always have to share how they were doing in school or whatever other activities they were in. Holly she will be missed by all!! Prayers to help you all through this time of loss. Sorry we can’t make it there to pay our respects but pa is very high risk patient and these numbers are up so know that our prayers and hearts are there with you all.

To Holly, I am praying for you and the boys that you may find peace in your heart. I know how close you were to your mom. Your mom was the most genuine person I knew. Never a harsh word to anyone and such a gentle soul. I will miss her calming presence. Lynn Garden Baptist won't be the same without her there at the piano. Love you sweetie.

Reta and I went to grade school and high school together. She was one of the kindest and gentle ladies I ever had the pleasure of knowing. She always had a sweet smile and pleasant greeting whenever we met. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Rest In Peace my sweet friend Reta. May God walk beside you in heaven.

Condolences to the Caldwell family. I grew up listening to Ms. Reta playing the piano at Lynn Garden Baptist Church. She was such a sweet lady and always took time to talk to me before and after church. My prayers are with everyone in the family and her friends during this difficult time. May God wrap His loving arms around everyone and give y’all strength to get through the days ahead.

What a meek and mild soul, with a beautiful smile. Reta and I grew old together. As kids we spent a lot of time together, along with Ruth Ann. Our fathers worked together and loved to garden. One of my favorite memories with Reta came in the early '50's, when bubbling Christmas tree ornaments were a new item. As soon as we walked in the door, Reta wanted me to come see the Christmas tree. She pointed to the ornament and as it bubbled, she said: "look at that." She stood frozen and repeated that over and over as it bubbled. I'll miss you dear friend but I'll see you again.
