Rogersville, TNRex Cleve “George” Morrison, age 71, of Rogersville, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Holston valley Hospital and Medical Center after a brief illness. George was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County where he retired from the Holliston Mills Company in 1998 with 30 years of service. He attended the Days Springs Baptist Church and loved to fish and hunt.He is preceded in death by his first wife; Jeanette Morrison, parents; Larry and Edna Morrison, brothers; Bud Morrison, James Morrison, Wayne Morrison, sisters; Rose Christian, Helen Matthews, Blanche Simpson, Hazel Casey and Betty Jean Morrison.Survivors include his wife; Charlotte Lorraine Morrison of the home, sons; Tim Morrison and wife, Lacy, Rusty Morrison and wife, Tammy, daughter; Michelle Wallen and husband, Junior all of Rogersville. Grandchildren; Kayla Morrison, Trista Robinson, Jessie Morrison, Cheyenne Morrison, Tosha Morrison, Megan Morrison, Josh Manis, Cody Manis and Justin Wallen, great grandchildren; Braylen, Jace, Channing, Kinlee and Camdyn. Sisters; Carolyn Browning of Rogersville, Marlyn Devotie of Greeneville, special nephews; Marty Matthews and wife Missy. Clifford Matthews and wife, Sherry, special friend; Rhonda Gibson and several other nieces and nephews.Calling hours are from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday at the Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home and anytime at the residence of her daughter, Michelle Wallen.Funeral services will be conducted 8 pm Wednesday at the Johnson – Arrowood Funeral home with rev. Ed McLain and Rev. Bob Simpson officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 12 noon Thursday at the Highland Cemetery in Rogersville. Serving as pallbearers will be, Junior Wallen, Rusty Morrison, Tim Morrison, Marty Matthews, Clifford Matthews and Jerry Morrison.
