KINGSPORT – Robert Thomas “Tom” Dorton, 74, of Kingsport, passed away Wednesday (December 7, 2016) at his residence.Tom was a native of West Virginia but had spent most of his life in Hawkins and Sullivan counties, not only was Tommy an Army veteran, an absolute legend in the motorcycle world, and founding member of the Peacemakers Motorcycle Club but he was also a loving brother, an irreplaceable father, and friend to thousands, and everyone he ever met has an incredible “Tommy” story to tell. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Carter and Genevieve Venoy Dorton.He is survived by one son and Daughter-in-law, Camron and Amanda Byrd, Piney Flats; one daughter, Rhonda Brown, Creade, Colorado; six grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Judy Dorton, Church Hill, several nephews.Calling hours are from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home.Services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 P.
