Newport, TN – Robert “Bobby” Gentry, age 64, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the North Knoxville Medical Center following a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his parents; Howard and Pearl Gentry, brother; Rodney Gentry, grandparents; John and Rella Gentry and Henderson and Bertha Johnson. Survivors include one brother; John “Johnny” Gentry and wife, Linda of Newport, one sister; Cheryl Arrowood and husband, Vernon of Newport. Nephews; Brian Arrowood and wife, Christy of Kingsport and Mark Arrowood and wife, Stacy of Newport, nieces; Jessica Cavalaris and husband, Chris of Knoxville, Kelsey and Delaney Gentry of Newport, great nieces and nephews; Will, Lia, Wyatt, Ben and Chloe.Graveside services will be conducted 10:00 AM Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Union Cemetery with Rev. Scott Gorrell officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the Union Cemetery by 9:50 AM Thursday morning.
