CHURCH HILL – Ronald Dean Larkin, 72, went to be with the Lord after finishing his courageous long battle with cancer on January 11, 2020.
Ronald was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was a member of First Baptist Church of Church Hill. He proudly served his country aboard the USS Ranger for 2 years followed by 8 years in the U. S. Navy Reserves. He retired from Eastman Chemical Company as an engineering assistant after 30 plus years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Archie and Eula McCollugh Larkin; brothers, John A. Larkin and David Larkin.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Donna Helton Larkin; son, Micah Larkin (Winter); grandchildren, Ava Reese Larkin and Cade Benjamin Larkin; siblings, Margie Nelson, Terry Larkin (Dawn), Connie Hamby, Wanda Butte (Ernest) Lowell Larkin (Barbara), Jackie Larkin (Linda), and Doug Larkin (Betty); several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 – 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at the Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Gerhardt officiating. Music will be provided by Garry Stuart. The burial will follow in Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Church Hill or a charity of your choice in Ronald’s memory.
