KINGSPORT – Ronald “Josh” Lawson, 49, went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.
Josh was born in Kingsport, TN on September 10, 1974. Growing up his dad loved to trade, and over the years josh developed a love for trading as well. Trading everything from cards, and bobble heads, and everything in between, he enjoyed going to flea markets and antiquing. He had a passion for nature and loved his NASCAR! He loved to make people laugh, was loved by everyone he met, and had made many lifelong friends. He enjoyed traveling with his family, and spending time with his kids; they were the love of his life. His main career was working as the Assistant General Manager for the Kingsport Mets for several years and had worked for American Lighting. He was the youth minister at Oakwood Forrest Christian Church and did a lot of mission work for Crossroads Missions. He was currently a member at Colonial Heights Christian Church. He enjoyed helping others, and positively impacted so many people’s lives over the years. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death his father, Ronald Lawson; and his grandparents, Irvin and Mary Helen Hutson, Mack and Irene Lawson, and Lore and Mary Noto.
He is survived by his children, Ryne Lawson, and Laiken Lawson; his best buddy and sidekick, Tripp; mother, Joyce Noto (Thad); sisters, Joy Dykes (Travis), Emily Noto-Flageolle (Rick), Mary Beth Noto – Gilroy (Tim), and Sarah Noto-Phillips (Chris Combs); as well as several nieces, cousins, and many dear friends.
A visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home in Church Hill. A celebration of life service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Minister Dave Mullins, and Minister Ed Clevinger officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Hope Haven Ministries in downtown Kingsport in Josh’s name.
