Rose Marie Messick, 70, passed away on June 25, 2024, at her home.
She was born on April 1, 1954, in Sullivan County, TN. She worked for 24 years at Church Hill Flower Shop and sold AVON for over 40 years. She loved all her cats, especially Panda. She was a member and President of the Ladies Aux. at Church Hill V.F.W. Post 9754. Everyone loved her cooking, especially Christmas dinner. They all loved her yeast rolls, and homemade candy.
She was preceded in death by her only son, Jackie Messick; and her parents, Lyle and Gertrude (Marsh) Messick.
Rose is survived by her sisters, Judy Pouchert of Wisconsin, Loretta Caudle (Robert) of Kentucky; brother, Ricky Messick (Kathy) of Church Hill; nephews, Dustin Berry (Blair) of Wisconsin, Parker Caudle of Kentucky; special nephew, whom she loved so much, John Painter (Brooke) of Church Hill; great niece, Brinley Berry of Wisconsin; great nephews, Walker and Wade Painter of Church Hill and Beckett Berry of Wisconsin; special cousins, Brenda Marsh Sizemore (Gary), Elizabeth Wallace Marsh (Frank), and Marjorie Mowell.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Mount Mitchell Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:00 AM to go in procession. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
