Ruby Montgomery CHURCH HILL- Ruby Montgomery passed peacefully into life everlasting on Easter Sunday morning at the Church Hill Health Care and Rehab Center at the age of 97. She was born on October 2, 1916 to John C. and Mollie Jarvis Quillen. She was one of the oldest members of First United Methodist Church of Church Hill. She dearly loved teaching and working with children in both church and school. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Graham F. Montgomery, Sr., sons, David and Roger, sister, Bartee, and brother, John W. Quillen. She is survived by her son, G.F. (Fred) Montgomery and wife, Betty, Daughter-in-law, Evangeline, five grandsons, three great grandsons, four great granddaughters . The family will receive friends at Johnson – Arrowood Funeral Home of Church Hill on Wednesday from 1 to 3:00 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Josh Kilbourne officiating. Graveside services will be conducted following the service at Liberty Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Methodist Church of Church Hill, 119 Grandview Street, Church Hill, TN 37642.
