Kay , I’m so sorry for yours and the entire family’s loss, Sam was one of the best men I have ever knew, he was always humble gracious and extremely kind, Sam was definitely One of those people that you just wanted to be associated with he always seen the good in people no matter what someone’s situation or stature was , Sam was always willing to help anyone even complete strangers and I can speak first hand on this. I will forever miss my friend. The world lost a wonderful man but the Lord gained a excellent angel, my thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you. God bless.

I am so sorry to hear of Sam’s passing. He was a very sweet and humble man. My thoughts and prayers are with his immediate family. I wanted to be there in person for his service, but due to the weather won’t be able to make it. Please know that each of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love, Oneda

I hate to say that I hadn't seen Sam in several years but I never forgot the year or so I got to work with him on shift. Sam always had a friendly smile and kind words every time I saw him.

If the world only had more men like Sam, what a wonderful world it would be. Sam and I have been great friends all our lives and I was deeply blessed to have him in my life. His first grade teacher was my mother and she always said Sam would make a good man and he did. I never heard Sam said anything negative about anyone or act wrongly towards anyone. If ever there was a christian model of young people it was Sam. I was moved to tears when I learned of Sam suffering a stroke some years ago and I was moved to tears again when he came back to Lynn Garden Baptist and played the harmonica. I miss him now and I will miss him until I rejoin him again. God bless the entire family.
