CHURCH HILL – Sarah Ann Farne, 82, passed away Saturday (September 20, 2014) at the Wexford House following an extended illness. Mrs. Farne was a native of Hartwell, West Virginia but had spent most of her adult life in Church Hill. She was a member of Canebrake Free Will Baptist Church, Canebrake, West Virginia and attended the First Free Will Baptist of Church Hill. She was a retired Hairdresser and worked in retail business for several years. She loved the Lady VOLS and UT Basketball. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Farne, her parents, Joe Paul and Martha Bell Spence Johnson, sisters, Helen Fox, Margaret Blevins and Betty Lou Girard, brothers, Hubert Ray and Donald Johnson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roy Parker and Mary Farne, Church Hill; one grandson, Benjamin P. Farne, Church Hill. Calling hours are from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. Tuesday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Tuesday at 3:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Mitch Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Church Hill Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
