ROGERSVILLE – Scottie Simpson, 48, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 19, 2022.
Scottie was born on August 7, 1974 in Port Clinton, OH. He lived most of his life in Hawkins County. Scottie worked at Hawkins County Sheriff Office and Mount Carmel Police Department. He was a heavy machine operator and loved working with machinery. He gave his life to the Lord and loved to serve him.
He was preceded by his father, Vernon Simpson; granny, Eva Simpson; uncles, Eugene, Glenn, and Russell Simpson.
Scottie is survived by his loving wife, Daphne Roberta Simpson and son, Jerry Dawson Lee; daughter, Rene’ Michelle Gouyon; grandsons, Zadyen Hayes, Xaiver Hayes, Neekoh Lee, Tobias Lee; mother, Bonnie Simpson; sister, Wanda Jones, Wilma Dearstone, Glenda Williams; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of Scottie’s life will be held at 4:30 PM on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the home of his mother, Mrs. Bonnie Simpson, 921 Grassy Creek Road, Rogersville, TN 37857. Come help us celebrate Scottie and remember the wonderful person he was.
