I was so very saddened to learn of Sherman's passing. I served on the Church Hill Community Chest board with him back in the late 90s and early 00s. He always impressed me as such a patriotic, nice, decent man. I remember him walking the Church Hill Christmas Parade one year. I still have a photo of him with Jimmy Self and Robin Adams. It was an honor to know Sherman. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, hoping that comfort comes with happy memories in the days ahead.
