CHURCH HILL – Wallace Eldridge Ragle, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 31, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his children.

Wallace was born in Kingsport, TN on September 4, 1929, to Talmadge and Lelia Ragle. He was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church in Mt. Carmel, TN. Wallace loved to garden and work outdoors, along with meeting his friends for breakfast. Wallace attended Church Hill High School. Wallace retired from Holliston Mills after 37 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Talmadge and Lelia Ragle; wife, Charlene Ragle; sisters, Betty Pippin, Shirley Bise Clark, Elizabeth Ragle; and his brothers, Gene Ragle, Jim Ragle, J.D. Ragle, Gary Ragle and Terry Ragle.

Mr. Ragle is survived by his daughter, Edie Ragle; son, Tim Ragle; brother, Larry Ragle; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home in Church Hill. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 7:00 PM With Pastors Craig Needham and Randy Lantz officiating. Special music will be provided by Melissa Crigger. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM at Ross Campground Cemetery on Wednesday June 5, 2024. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 AM. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ross Campground Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the waters at Allandale, and the staff at Church Hill Post Acute Care, Especially Debra Sturgill, Rhonda Kilgore and Destiny Jackson that took great care of Mr. Ragle.
