William "Billy" Nauert SURGOINSVILLE- William “Billy” Nauert, 18, passed away on Friday (January 24, 2014) from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Billy attended First Baptist Church of Surgoinsville and Calvary Lighthouse. He was a member of the Navy JROTC at Volunteer High School and was an avid guitar player. Billy was very devoted to his family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, William Pigg, paternal grandparents, John and Janice Nauert, great grandparents, Jack and Frances Palmer, and his uncle, Roy George. He is survived by his parents, Bruce Edward and Elizabeth Renee Nauert, brothers, Jacob and Austin Nauert, sister, Katherine Nauert, maternal grandparents, Paul and Yvonne Crowe, great grandparents, Paul and Doris Crowe, aunt, Jessica Crowe, several uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home of Church Hill. A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tecky Hicks officiating.
