KINGSPORT – Mrs. Norma D. Alley, 88, entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 13, 2024.
She was the daughter of Joseph Robert “Bob” and Anna Elizabeth Adams Derrick. She lived most of her life in Church Hill before moving to Kingsport in 2021. She retired from ETSU Family Physicians in Kingsport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 61 years, Rev. James R. Alley.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Phillips, of Kingsport; son, David L. Alley (wife, Janice) of Kodak, TN; grandsons, Matthew Alley (wife, Danielle), and Aaron Alley; step-grandchildren, Chad Kanipe (wife, Cindy), Chris Kanipe (wife, Julie) Bridget Phillips, Crawford, and Gavin Phillips.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Greg Fletcher officiating. A graveside service will follow in procession to Morning Star Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital in Norma’s memory.
