CHURCH HILL- Ben Ivey, 91, passed away on Monday Dec. 1, 2017 at Asbury Place.
Ben was born in Dandridge, TN and resided in Decatur, TN. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He owned and operated his own hydraulic business for several years, his business led him to work in most of the eastern part of the United States. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed listening to gospel music in his shop. Ben also enjoyed building bird houses.
He is preceded in death by his parents William Cline & Lily Ivey.
Ben is survived by his daughters, Barbara McAdams and Willie Faye Vonya; son, David Lee Ivey; brother, Mitchell Ivey; grandchildren Michelle and Joey Ivey, David and Angela Vonya, Josh and Desirae Vonya, Scott and Stacy Sanders; great-grandchildren, Skyla, Brantley, Arianna, Charlie and Cassidy Sanders, Dashaun and Thomas Williams, Crystal and Junior Dann, Kristoffer, Jasmin, Lucas, Damion, and Clorice.
A private funeral service will be conducted for the Ivey family.
