Gray, TNBenjamin Aaron “Ben” Williams, age 31, of Gray, TN passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at the Johnson City Medical Center from injuries he sustained in a accident. Ben was a lifelong resident of Gray, TN and was a 2002 graduate of Daniel Boone High School where he won the state title in Shotput and was also a standout on the football field. He was a big hearted and loving person who would go out of his way to help anyone in their time of need.He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather; Robert Williams, maternal grandparents; Ralph and Loretta Adams, step-father; Denny Cansler.Survivors include his mother; Tammy Cansler of Gray, TN, father; Dewayne Williams of Kingsport, brothers; Joseph Williams and his wife, Lisa of Dandridge, TN , Robert “Nick” Williams and wife, Stacy of Gray, TN, sister; Amanda Williams of Charleston, SC, paternal grandmother; Juanita Williams of Gray, TN, nieces, Madelyn, Gwyneth, Natalie, Peyton Williams. Several aunts, uncles and cousins.Calling hours are from 1:30 to 2:30 pm Sunday at the Mount Mitchell Primitive Baptist Church. Graveside services will be conducted 2:30 pm Sunday at the Mount Mitchell Church Cemetery with Rev. Frank Gilliam officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family requested that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home in Ben’s name.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Johnson City medical Center I.C.U. and to the Trauma Team.
