Betty Wilder passed away on June 16, 2023, at the age of 84, in her hometown of Church Hill, TN. She attended First Baptist Church of Church Hill. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Even though she battled with medical issues in recent years, she continued to love her family and friends.
She was born to Paul Charles and Eulah Charles Bowlin in Surgoinsville, TN on April 22, 1939. After graduating at Church Hill high school, she followed her dream of becoming a legal secretary for the next 30 years. Betty was known for her fashionable style and to know her was to love her. Her niece and twin great nephews brought such joy to her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law, Jane Simpson and brother-in-laws, Jesse, Dallas, and Clyde Wilder.
She is survived by her husband Grant E. Wilder, sister, Sandy Culbertson (Chuck), niece, Angie Long (Carter), and great twin nephews, Owen and Parker Long. Step father, Hiram H. Bowlin. Brother in law, Kenny Wilder (Charlotte), Sister in law, Patsy Lawson (Herman) and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM at Highland Park Cemetery in Rogersville on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Rev. Gary Gerhardt will be officiating the service and Garry Stewart will honor her with song.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Church Hill.
