CHURCH HILL – Dolphas Leonard Hart, 80, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 20, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Leonard was born in Grayson County, VA and was a lifelong resident of Church Hill. He enjoyed watching westerns, racing, going fishing, and was a jack of all trades and a master of none. He was a loving father, son, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Emma Hart; wife, Sharon Hart Davis; and brothers, Charlie and Laney Hart.
Leonard is survived by his daughter, Regina Goad; sons, Robert Hart, Anthony Hart, and Jason Hart; several grandchildren, and great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Housewright (Jimmy), and Gaye Mosier; special friend, Teresa Bradshaw; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Barr Cemetery in Whitetop, VA. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:30 PM. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
