Donna Marie Burdette, 74, of Rogersville, TN, formerly of Riverside, WV, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 10, 2023, following a short illness.

Donna was born on September 15, 1949, and was the second of 6 children. Donna, in her younger years worked as a hairdresser but spent the majority of her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, watching the Game Show Network, playing bingo and spending time with her family. Donna’s heart was full of love and her kind spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Rufus and Jean McClure, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Burdette; infant grandson, Bryce Stewart; and her brother, Douglas McClure.

Left to cherish Donna’s memory are her two daughters, Jennifer Daniels (Sonny), of Cedar Grove, WV, and Carrie Stewart (Chad), of Rogersville, TN; her four grandchildren, Zack, Katlyn, Dylan, and Ryleigh; great granddaughter, Paislee; four brothers, Richard McClure (Diana); David McClure (Donna), Jeff McClure, and Brad Thomas; as well as many extended family members, and dear friends.

The family would like to say a very special thank you to the entire staff and residents of Margie’s Meadow at the Villages at Alandale, as well as the physicians and staff of the Cardiac ICU and stepdown at HVMC for their care, love, and support.

In following with Donna’s wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no formal services. Her wishes were that her ashes be spread along with her husbands at some of their favorite places.
