Church Hill, TNFaye Snapp Courtney, age 80. of Church Hill passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Courtney was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County (Church Hill), and was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Church Hill. She was an active member of the FFWB Golden Eagles and she volunteered at the Community Clothes Closet in Church Hill for several years.She is preceded in death by her husband; Harold Courtney in 1998, her parents; W.R. and Stella Snapp, twin brother; Bill Snapp.Survivors include her daughters; Maria Taylor and husband, Jeff of Kingsport, Susan Armstrong and husband, Phil of Church Hill, Grandchildren; Sarah Reynolds and husband, Isaac, Emily Taylor and fiancé Buck Owens and Lucas Armstrong, sister; Pauline Fields of Kingsport.Calling hours are from 5 to 7:30 pm Friday at the First Freewill Baptist Church in Church Hill and anytime at the residence.Funeral services will be conducted 7:30 pm Friday at the Church with Rev. Bud Beverly and Rev. Mitch Russell officiating.Graveside services will be conducted 11 am Saturday at the Church Hill Memory Gardens. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the First Free Will Baptist Church by 10:15 am Saturday morning to go in procession to the cemetery.Serving as pallbearers will be, Jeff Taylor, Phil Armstrong, Lucas Armstrong, Isaac Reynolds, Buck Owens, Marty Snapp, Steve Jones and Wes Jones.
