ROGERSVILLE – Rev. G. W. Jobe, 86, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday (October 27, 2015) following an extended illness.Rev. Jobe was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was a member and former pastor of Pine View Free Will Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Tennessee Eastman with 26 years of service and was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. G. W. sang with the Sunrise Quartet for several years.He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Lillian Lucille Jobe, one daughter, Kathy Good, his parents, George and Mallie Goad Jobe, brothers, Eugene Jobe, Luther Jobe and Buddy Jobe, one sister, Charlotte Sealock, son-in-law, Chris Honeycutt.He is survived by two son and daughter-in-law, Lynn Jobe, Kingsport; Larry and Lesia Jobe, Rogersville; one daughter, Kim Honeycutt, Rogersville; four grandchildren, Katrina Hensley and husband, Scott, Danielle Honeycutt, Chuck Jobe and wife, Cheyenne, and Brandon Jobe; two brothers, Robert Jobe, Rogersville and Bobby Jobe, Indiana; two sisters, Mildred Head, Rogersville and Willie Carlise, Church Hill; several nieces and nephews.Special thanks to his caregivers, Jan Skeeter and Patty. for the wonderful care given to our father.Calling hours are from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home and anytime at the residence.Services will be conducted Thursday at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev.
