CHURCH HILL – Rev. Glen B. Williams, 77, of Church Hill, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday (October 20, 2016) at the Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness.Glen was a native of Wise, Virginia but had spent most of his adult life in Church Hill. He was a member of Mount Mitchell Primitive Baptist Church and was a retired employee of AFG Industries.He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Janette Byington Williams; his parents, Clifford and Mary K. Lawson Williams; three brothers, Jimmy Williams, Rev. Bobby Williams and Paul Williams; two sisters, Phyllis Holder and Donna Overlin.He is survived by one son, Randall K. Williams and wife, Sandy, Church Hill; one daughter, Anita C. Absher and husband, Wayne, Church Hill; 8 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren; one brother, Buddy Williams and wife, Cheryl, Fort Myers, SC; one sister, Sharon Brown and husband, Wayne, Charlotte, NC; several nieces and nephews.Calling hours are from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Saturday at Johnson-Arrowood Funeral Home and anytime at the residence.Graveside services will be conducted Sunday at 12:00 Noon at Mount Mitchell Cemetery with Elder Frank Gilliam officiating.Pallbearers will be David Hammond, Cody Kirkendall, Sean McCurry, Wes Williams, Jeremy Greene, Rus Reel and Adam Gray.The family request those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Mount Mitchell Cemetery in memory of Glen.To leave an online message for the Williams family, please visit us @ www.jfhonline.comJohnson-Arrrowood Funeral Home is honored to serve the Williams family.
